“THE LAST TANGO IN MEDELLÍN” starts with a touch. Light, but enough to set the dance floor trembling. One step, sharp on the wood, her heel cracks like a note that cuts through your chest. The bandoneón quickens, the rhythm follows, and they’re pulled in. Too close. Far too close. Her breath deepens. A pivot. A pause. The kind that lasts an eternity. Shoes scrape. Bodies spiral out of control. The music drives higher, tighter… then collapses, gasping for air. The Last Tango in Medellín, when some dances don’t end with the music.
